The International Artificial Intelligence Film Academy Festival and Awards, also known as BLACK AI FEST, is a pioneering event dedicated to uncovering the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing creative storytelling and transforming the global creative industry, with a strong emphasis on the harmonious collaboration between humans and machines. This yearly hybrid event honors the human creativity driving the development of innovative storytelling through AI.
The festival combines in-person and virtual elements to promote accessibility and foster global engagement. Kent will be the primary host for the inaugural event, offering screenings, exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, and an award ceremony.

​Recognition for all creatives

20 categories recognize the best AI creations across various mediums. From live-action films made entirely with AI to the best AI comic book, there's something for everyone. The festival squarely acknowledges the synergism between Man and Machine, with categories recognizing the extensive use of AI in live-action short and feature films, documentaries, commercials, and animation.
The Mayor of Swale, Karen Watson, hosted the 2025 awards ceremony and hand out our AI Academy Awards to the winners at the closing ceremony.
