BLACK AI FEST - "International A.I. Film Academy Festival & Awards" is a pioneering platform dedicated to harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to elevate creative storytelling and drive progress within the global creative realm, with a particular emphasis on the representation and portrayal of the Black race in creative processes and narratives.

This annual hybrid event, curated by the producer of the esteemed Realtime International Film Festival (RTF), welcomes submissions from across the globe and honors the creative human ingenuity behind pioneering storytelling techniques powered by AI. The festival integrates both physical and virtual elements to promote accessibility and encourage global engagement. London has been designated as the primary host for the inaugural edition, offering cutting-edge facilities for screenings, exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, and award ceremonies.

The first-ever edition, hosted by Mighty Jot and themed "RAVEN," is scheduled to occur twice in 2025. On June 21, 2025, a curated edition was held in Worcester as part of the Neo-Nolly Fest, showcasing submissions received prior to the late or extended deadlines. After the inaugural event, the main edition is scheduled to take place in London from October 11 to October 12, coinciding with Black History Month celebrations. The films featured in the June showcase will be presented again in October, during which awards and trophies will be conferred upon winners across multiple categories.

With respect to awards, 20 categories have been established to recognize exceptional AI creations across various mediums. From AI-designed live-action short films to critically acclaimed AI-generated comic books, a diverse array of possibilities awaits exploration. The festival underscores the synergy between human ingenuity and technological innovation, showcasing categories that celebrate the profound integration of AI in live-action shorts, feature films, documentaries, commercials, and animated works.

Embrace this opportunity to witness the transformative ascent of AI in shaping global narratives. Submit your applications today to participate in an extraordinary experience in the United Kingdom.

• A panel of expert jurors will evaluate all submissions and select the top 12 entries based on scores across four specified criteria (refer to the Rules & Terms section below).
